Advising and Mentoring
Strong academic advising and developing a supportive network of diverse mentors is critical to every graduate student’s success. The Graduate College champions a culture of mentoring in which graduate students are supported in forging effective mentoring relationships with multiple mentors.

University Scholars
The University Scholars Awards honor and recognize distinguished UVM faculty members for sustained excellence in research and scholarly and creative activities. The award is co-sponsored by the Provost and the Graduate College. The award recipients are selected by a faculty committee based upon nominations from UVM colleagues. University Scholars Awards are made in two categories: (1) Social Sciences, Humanities and Creative Arts, and (2) Basic and Applied Sciences (including Biological, Medical and Physical Sciences).
